Specialist School Status > Extended Schools > Young Enterprise
Young Enterprise is a company that The Snaith School works very closely with at all stages in school, from year 4 in the Primary feeder schools into year 11 here at The Snaith School.
Year 8 students have taken part in the Young Enterprise module:
- Enterprise in Action
And the winning team are due to compete at the regional final in July at Hull University.
Year 10 students have had the opportunity to take part in the Young Enterprise ‘Company Programme’. This takes place over one whole school year, and the students have to create their own company, sell shares to raise capital and then trade for a year with a view to making a profit.
This year we have had three companies trading in school; Xopek, Rayal and CFY. They have all been very successful and a number of them are now going on to take the optional GCSE that accompanies the scheme.
All companies had the opportunity to take their products to a trade fair at either Hull or Stratford and they were all invited to take part in the adjudication sessions for the East Riding.
