Watersports trip to Tamaris France May 2008

Water sports

This year’s Watersports trip was in the May half term. We travelled to Dover on the coach and caught the ferry to Calais. The coach journey was good because we got to watch movies of our choice. All together it was a twenty four hour journey there! The accommodation was good for a tent. It was spacious and we got to share it with three people of our choice. The PGL staff were very friendly; they were all quite young and willing to have a laugh. Every night we had a disco and there were other schools there that you could talk to. Every day we did three different activities.e.g. Gorge jumping, body boarding and beach Olympics. We had time to get used to the sea and jump around in the waves before body boarding which was amazing. We think the best night time activity was Miss Tamaris, as we got to dress up all the boys as girls. On the way back our bus journey was far from perfect. We broke down for fourteen hours and had to wait at a French service station; this wouldn’t usually happen! The teachers did their best to make time pass quickly; we did lots of quizzes and in the morning played foot ball. Over all we had an amazing time and would go back anytime!
