We all know about the excitement of moving up to high school and the changes in store but sometimes the nerves can get the better of us. The sudden panics 20 minutes before the bus comes, you’ve got it all in store, but with this years new comers to the Snaith School giving you top tips to settle in you’ll be able to avoid the shock of extra homework and keep yourself on the ball twenty four, seven. Take a look at these quick tips from our year 7’s!

“When you move up to The Snaith School you get lots more homework. So that is why you get a homework diary, so you can keep a list of all your homework. I found that at first I forgot to write my homework in so sometimes I forgot to do it. When I got used to writing it in though I found it much easier to remember. So I would say you should use your homework diary!”

- Advice from Emily Baker a new year 7

“My only real piece of advice for moving up to the Snaith School I would have to say is probably to be organised with your homework diary and to make sure you’ve written in your homework. The only other thing I can think of is to pack your bag the night before school, l because in the morning you’re in such a rush to the bus, that you could forget a certain book so being organised is really important!”

-Advice from Courtney Sunman a new year 7

“My best piece of advice for moving up to the Snaith School is probably to stay calm. It is easy to panic when you’re changing a routine or moving into a bigger school but if you’re prepared and stay calm then you can easily manage. It does take a while to get to grips with the way Snaith school works but when you’ve been here from September to October you’re well used to things.”

-Advice from Ben Back a new year 7
